      THIS INDENTURE made the thirteenth and fourteenth day of August in the fifteenth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Second and in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & forty one Between SAMUEL HAYWARD Esqr, his Majestys CONSUL of all the ISLANDS under the VENETIAN GOVERNMENT in the LEVANT now residing in the ISLAND of ZANTE of the one part & HENRY FITZHUGH of the County of STAFFORD in the Colony of Virginia gent of the other part Witnesseth that the said SAMUEL HAYWARD for the sum of one hundred and Ten pounds Sterling to him paid loth grant unto the said HENRY FITZHUGH in his full & actual possession now being by force of one Indenture for one year & by force of the Statute for the transferring uses into possession and to his heirs & assignes forever all that tract of land being in the Parish of Hamilton in the County of Prince William containing by Estimation one thousand acres and bounded according to a Survey thereof lately made by ROBERT BROOKE Surveier of the said County of Prince William in manner following begining at three Ash saplins by CEDAR RUN at the end of a line that divides the land of Mr. RICHARD FOOTE & the said SAMUEL HAYWARD & runing thence down the several meanders of the said Run by consent of the said RICHARD FOOTE to a Corner Spanish Oak which in a strait line from the begining is three hundred and fifty eight poles thence Northeast to a marked Corner tree thence North West by three red Oaks in the said Division line thence along the same South West to the begining as by a plan of the said Survey hereunto annexed (see page 75 of this book) may appear which said premises are part of a greater tract of land commonly called BRENT TOWN & all the houses & appurtenances whatsoever unto him the said HENRY FITZHUGH and his heirs forever. In Witness whereof RICHARD FOOTE of the County of STAFFORD aforesd gent by vertue & in pursuance of a Letter of Attorney from said SAMUEL HAYWARD bearing date the sixteenth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and thirty eight recorded in the County Court of STAFFORD hath put the hand & Seal of the said SAMUEL HAYWARD the day and year above written

      THIS INDENTURE made the 20th day of September in the Twenty second year of the reign of our sovereign Lord GEORGE the Second and in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty Nine Between ROBERT MASSEY of the Parish of Saint Pauls in the County of STAFFORD gent: of one part and PHILIP ALEXANDER gent. of the Parish and County aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said ROBERT MASSEY for the sum of Two hundred and fifty pounds Current money hath sold unto the said PHILIP ALEXANDER tin his full and actual! possession and seizes by virtue of Indenture for one year and by force of the statute for transferring of uses into possession) and to his heirs & assigns forever all that tenement or parcel of land in the Parish of Dettingen in the County of Prince William on the South Branches of SLATY RUN containing One thousand and Fifty one acres commonly known by the name of the BRENT TOWN TRACT lately belonging to SAMUEL HAYWARD Esquire his Majestys Counsull of all the Islands under the VENETIAN GOVERNMENT in the LEVANT by his attorney in Fact RICHARD FOOTE bent of said Parish of St. Paul's and County of STAFFORD foresaid sold the said One thousand and Fifty one acres of land to the said ROBERT MASSY by Deeds of Lease and Release now recorded among the records of the County of Prince William relation being had which is bounded according to a survey thereof made by JOHN SAVAGE Surveyor of STAFFORD COUNTY on the third day of May one thousand seven hundred & forty two Vizt. Begining at A a live Oak corner of the land of Capt. HENRY FITZHUGH extending thence along the said FITZHUGHs line No. W. to B a Hickory and white Oak corner to said FITZHUGH standing in the dividing line between the aforesaid FOOTE & HAYWARD thence along the said Line N. East to another Hickory corner to said FOOTE and HAYWARD in BRENTs line at (C ) thence along the said line S, E. to (D) a red Oak on said BRENTs line finally SW to the first station and all houses and ppurtenances whatsoever belonging To Have and To Hold to the use of PHILIP ALEXANER his heirs and assigns forever.
