      recprds. Robert Farguson died between 21 Nov 1775 and 18 Feb 1783 King and Queen.
      His tract of land (being part of his father James Farguson's grant, etc.) was divided among
      Robert's Brother's: Joel Farguson; Titus Farguson; and sisters Philadelphia Bridgforth;
      Joice Lumkin; Elizabeth Brooks.

      In the name of God Amen. I Thomas Bridgforth of the County of Essex and parish of St. Anne's being (thanks be to God) of sound mind and memory do make and ordain this my last will and Testament in Manner and form following
      Im___ous. I give all my Lands in Essex County to my Cousin Thomas Bridgforth to him and his heirs for ever with six negro slaves hereafter named Viz. Caesar, Phylis, Tom, Luce, Betty daughter of Luce and Mary Ann he paying forty pounds current money to be divided amongst the rest of my Estate.
      Item: I leave my lands in King and Queen County to be sold and the money arising from such sale to be applied to Charitable causes in the Parish of St. Anne's at the direction of my Executors.
      Item: My will is that all the remaining part of my Estate not before mentioned shall be sold at Publick sale and what money may be left after my Just debts being paid to be applied as hereafter shall be mentioned.
      Item: My will is that fifty pounds be laid out in a Young Negro Woman to be purchased from on board the first
      Convenient Ship or otherwise and that Negro I lend to my sister Sarah Farguson during her Natural Life and at her decease the aforesaid Negro with her Increase I give to Benjamin Bridgforth to him and his heirs forever.
      Item: My will is that fifty pounds be laid out in a Young Negro Woman to be purchased from on board the first
      Convenient Ship or otherwise and that I lend to Mary Anderson during her Natural Life and at her decease the aforesaid
      Negro with her Increase I give to Benjamin Bridgforth to him and his heirs forever.
      Item: I give to Mrs. Hannah Edmondson five pounds
      Item: My will is that my Body be decently buried at the direction of my Executors and that a funeral sermon at my Charge be preached in St. Anne's Parrish.
      Item: My will is that Robert Farguson, Titus Farguson, Joel Farguson, Peleg Farguson, Ann Martin, Joice Lumpkin, Elizabeth Farguson do share equally the remaining part of my Estate.
      Item: I desire that Mr. John Rowzie, Mr. Robert Brooke and John ?Smolt? be executors to this my last will and
      testament in Witness thereof I have hereunto set My hand and seal this twenty fifth Day of April and in the Year of our Lord 1763

      At a court held for Essex County at Tappahannock on the 19th day of November 1764. The last will and Testament of Thomas Bridgforth was produced into Court and sworn to be John Rowzee and Robert Brook Gent. Two of the Executors therein named according to Law and proved by the oaths of ___ Anderson, one of the Witnesses thereto at a court continued and held for the same County at Tappahannock the 21st of May Anno Domi 1765 was further proved by the oath of Benjamin Edmondson and ordered recorded.

      THIS INDENTURE made the twenty second and twenty third day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty nine Between ELIZABETH CHAPLIN of the Parish of Bath in the County of PRINCE GEORGE of one part and ISAAC FARGUSON of the Parish of Dittengen & County of Prince William of other part Witnesseth that said ELIZABETH CHAPLIN for the sum of Eight pounds Twelve Shillgs. Curr, doll sell unto the said ISAAC FARGUSON in his actual possession now being by venue of a bargin and sale for one year and by force of the statute for transferring uses into possession his heirs and assigns all that tract of land containing One hundred acres being part of Four hundred and Thirty four acres by a Deed granted by COLLO. CARTER to JOHN FLOWRANCE in ye year 1725 lying in the County of PRINCE WILLIAM on the North side of BROAD RUN of OCCOQUAN and a Branch known by the name of CRUPPERS CABIN BRANCH begining at a marked white Ole on a hill corner to the land of ED. GRAHAM thence NE to a red Oak another Corner of sd ED. GRAHAM & thence NE to a hicry thence SE to two white Oaks thence NE to the beginning Togather with all houses gardens appurtenances whatseover to the sd One hundred acres of land belonging To Have and To Hold unto the said ISAAC FARGUSON his heirs and assigns forever.
