- HENERY HARVEY and RICHARD ASHWORTH being comitted to the Gaole of this County by a Mittimus from Mr. RALEIGH TRAVERS, a member of this Court, ( ) of security for their appeareance at this Court to answer the Complainte of JOHN CARPENTER, WILLIAM ROGERS and JOHN MOTT for the takeing away of a Boate belonging to them. very premptoryly in Court in denyeing the same. the ( argueing that they
comenot within the Acte for a Fine for takeing ( ) they being two p:sons of very ill repute and carrieing the saide Boate from DEEPE CREEKE in RAPPAHANNOCK RIVER into POTOMACK RIVER three ( ) to transporte themselves over into MERRILAND haveing been once ( ) and returneing to POTEMACK RIVER and there the Boate goeing ( ) of the saide RICHARD ASHWORTHs Baote. This Court doe therefore ( ) and them safely to deteyne without Baile or Maineprize until the ( ) Genll. - Whereas it appeares to this Court that HENERY HARVEY, late of this County, stands indebted unto RICHARD MERRIMAN twelve hundred and ninety pounds weight of neate Porke and in foure hundred and fifty pounds of tobacco and cask and departeing this County without satisfieing the same, the saide MERRIMAN obtained an Attachmt, of the Estate of the saide HARVEY in this County, which said Attachmt. as appeares by the returne thereof was executed upon one brown coloured cow and Heiffer of two yeres old nikt. wth: a crop and ( in each eare and 2 Calfes unmarked belonginge to the saide HARVEY, which noe person appeareing to repevyn, the saide Attachment and Oath being made by the saide MERRIMAN that the same is justly due, Judgemt. is therefore granted against the same soe attached wth: costs
