I, Peter Dent of CC, am in a perfect state of mind and memory, but life is uncertain. First, I want my just debts paid.
To my wife Ann Dent - my whole estate, both real and personal, during her widowhood, but after death, my personal estate to be divided between daughters that are then single. If my wife marries, two thirds of my personal estate to be divided between my daughters then single. All my sons and daughters have liberty to live on my now dwelling plantation during their living single, unless it be the opinion of my executors that it would be to the advantage of my single children to sell the lands. Then I appoint my sons, George Dent and Theodore Dent to dispose of it far their benefit, as above.
To my 3 sons, Theodore, Thomas, and William Dent my .. to
      be equally divided between them.
I recommend to my 3 sons, Theodore, Thomas, and William, to be kind to my daughters, especially the youngest ,- if brother Joseph comes back they should forgive him ..
executors: my wife Ann and my son Theodore Dent.
      signed 21, 1784 - Peter Dent.

Indenture made October 22, 1810; between George Dent of Allegany County, Maryland and Theodore Dent of CC. Witnesseth that George Dent did execute his bond to Abraham Faw in the following words, to wit, I George Dent of Washington County, Maryland and firmly bound unto Abraham Faw of Frederick County, Maryland in the sum of 1,000 pounds current money this July 15, 1787. The condition of the above obligation is that if the bound George Dent shall well and truly convey to Abraham Faw by a good deed to transfer my right to a part of a tract called "White Haven" lying in CC which was devised by his father Peter Dent to his son William Dent and held by George Dent as heir in law to the said William Dent, deceased, then the above obligation to be void and of none effect. Signed George Dent in the presence of John Scott, Frederick Heisely.
On the back of which bond is the following words; "I hereby assign, transfer and make over unto Mr. Theodore Dent all my right title interest and claim unto the within bond and lands therein mentioned and do agree that a deed will be made to him for the same". Given under my hand this October 19, 1810, Abraham Faw
