      To Henry Johnson one cow and 100 acres of land lying upon the head of Chiccocone. To Thomas Elvert 100 acres of land lying at the head of Chicchocone.
      To Richard Rice a pocket Pistoll and a holster Pistoll. To William Barber one Tenant Saw. To Wife Elizabeth English all the Rest of my Estate and doe make her my sole Executrix.

      IN THE NAME OF GOD Amen, I JOHN ENGLISH being sick in body but in perfect mind and memory Blessed be God, doe ordaine this my last Will and Testamt: as followeth.
      Imprimis I bequeath my Soule to God who gave it, depending in my Saviour Christ Jesus for Eternal! Salvation and my body to the Earth with convenient Chrsitian burial!
      2ly. I give unto HENRY JOHNSON one Cow and one hundred acres of land lying upon the head of CHICCOCONE
      3ly. I give unto THOMAS ELVERT one hundred acres of land lying at the head of CHICCHOCONE
      4th: I give unto RICHARD RICE a pocket Pistol! and holster Pistoll
      5th: I give unto WILLIAM BARBER one tenant Saw
      6thly: I give unto my Wife, ELIZABETH ENGLIS, all the rest of my Estate and doe make her my Sole Executrix and to take to her selfe all the rest of my Estate both Reall and personal! to her her heires, Executrs.       TAYLOR, RICHARD, 21 May, 1679.
      To sons Richard and Symon my plantation and lands thereunto belonging being 200 acres and if my son Richard when he comes to age will sell unto his Bro. Symon his part then his brother shall give him 5000 pounds of Tob. and if not then the Land and Plantation to be equally divided and to cast lots both of them for their shares and I give to each of them two Cows with all their increase both male and female to take their Choice. To daughter Constance seven head of Cattle five female with all their increase both male and female and two steeres one mare and to my son Richard one mare and to my son Symon one mare and if any of them miscarry betwixt this and the last of May then what of them remains to be equally divided amongst my three Children. I understanding my wife to be in a weak condition that my loving neighbors John English Peter Ellis and Edward Friar would one a week give my children advice and that they may be kept upon the plantation with my servant and in case my wife die I appoint my loving friend CollĀ°.       KNOW ALL MEN by these prsents that I ELIZB: ENGLISH, Widdow, doe freely of my own accord give unto my Godson, THOMAS BARBER, the Sonne of WM: BARBER, one black yearling heiffer marked with a crop & slit in the left Eare, and a swallow fork on the right eare, the sd yearling I doe freely give unto the said THOMAS BARBER his heires with all her increase forever and warrant the same from all persons whatsoever & doe order my attorney to acknowledge the same in the County Court of Rappae: as Witness my hand this 2 of Septr: 1679

      KNOW ALL MEN by these prsents that I ELIZABETH ENGLISH, Widd. and Relict of JNO: ENGLISH lately deced, doe by Gods grace intend to contract my selfe in MATRIMONY unto ROBT, HENLEY, but for several! good causes before the publicann of the banes between us, doe reserve to my selfe liberty notwithstanding Contract of Marriage to make a WILL when or to which I shall think fit of all land that my late Husband, JNO. ENGLISH, in his WILL have left me to give it to whom I please after my decease. if it shall please God I have no natural! heire of my own bodie liveing at my decease and I doe order and appoint my Attorney wch is now upon record, to acknowledge the same in the County Court of Rappae: and there to be recorded, and for the satisfaccon of all persons that may hereafter be concerned, I have hereunto set my hand and Seale this 15th of August 1679
