KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that we EDWARD ROWZEE. JUNR., JOHN ROWZEE Gent &ROBERT EDMONDSON are held and firmly bound unto THOMAS WARING, ROBERT BROOKE, JAMES GARNETT & BENJAMIN WINSLOW Justices of the peace for the County of Essex in the sum of five hundred pounds Sterling Sealed with our seals and dated this 15th day of December 1741
THE CONDITION of this obligtion is such that if the above bound EDWARD ROWZEE JR. Admr. of all the goods chattles and credits of RALPH ROWZEE, deced do make a true and perfect inventory of all the goods chattles & credits of the sd deced the same so made do exhibit or cause to be exhibited in the County Court of Essex at such time as he shall be thereunto required by the sd Court and further do make a just and true account of his actings and doings therein when thereunto required by the sd Court and if it shall hereafter appear that any last Will and Testament was made by the sd deced & the Exr or Exrs. named do exhibit the same in the sd Court making request to have the same allowed & approved Accordingly if the sd EDWARD being thereunto required do deliver up his Ltrs. of Admon. approbation of such Testament being first had & made in the sd Court then this obligation to be void and of none effect ..

IN OBEDIENCE to an order of Essex County Court bearing date the 15th day of December 1741 We the Subscribers being first sworn before JAMES GARNETT Gent have appraised and Inventoryed all the Estate of RALPH ROWZEE deced that was presented unto us Vint... items listed and valued but not totalled (some items being) I young Sorrill horse, 1 bay do; 1 old grey do; 12 sheep; cattle, hoggs; 1 Barrill of Tarr; small grinding stone; parcel of lumber, of old hoes; 58 lbs of pewter; beds & furniture, his Wearing Cloathes; a fiddle, a gun, more beds and furniture; one negro man called Toney; I do called Harry; 1 do called Tobey; (5 more named); Given under our hands this 15th day of Janry, 1741

Essex Ss. PURSUANT to an order of Essex County Court bearing date the 20th day of April one thousand seven hundred & fourty two we the Subscribers have divided the Estate of RALPH ROWZEE deced as by the sd Order we were directed in manner & form as followeth, That is to say, first as there was a Legasey due from the sd Estate to SARAH ROWZEE one of the daughters of the sd deced of thirty pounds eight shillings left her by THOMAS CAUTHORNE deced we have first taken that Legasey out of the personal Estate Then we have divided the Negroes and remainder of the other Estate into three parts and have assigned the Widow of the sd RALPH ROWZEE deced one third part then we have divided all the remainder of the Negroes and the Estate among his six children by name RALPH, EDWARD, SARAH, ELIZABETH & MARGARET ROWZEE and ELIZABETH PRITCHETT all which appears under (Viz) . . Widow: her part of ye Negroes Tony; RALPH ROWZEE his part of the negroes; EDWD. ROWZEE his part of the negroes; SARAH ROWZEE, to the Legasey left her; ELIZATH. ROWZEE to her part of the negroes; to MARGT. ROWZEE to her part of the negroes, to ELIZTH. PRITCHETT her part of the negroes; (then each assigned their part of the personal Estate) . . . Given under our

Will of Ralph Rowzee of the Parish of St. Anne in the County of Essex, being very sick and weak of body, dated 28 Sept. 1716.
Unto son Ralph Rowzee the plantation whareon he now lives togeather with all the land on that side of the small creek and swamp.
Unto my son Ralph Rowzee my pistols and holster and sourd.
Unto my son Benjamin Rowzee the plantation I have by the mill togeather with 150 acres of land.
Unto my son John Rowzee the plantation whareon John Ridgaile lived togeather with 150 acres of land.
But in case either of my two sons should dye without heirs then the surveiver to have his part,
Unto my loving wife Margatt Rowzee the plantation whareon
I now live togeather with all the remainder of my land duering her naturall life and after her death to be equally divided amongst my foure daughters, one-fourth part theirof unto my daughter Elezabeth Rowzee but in case my said daughter should dye without any heir then her part unto my other three daughters Margatt, Mary and Martha Rowzee. The other three parts unto my three daughters Margatt, Mary and Martha Rowzee. My daughter Margatt have her first chase.
My two sons Benjamin and John and my wife and foure daughters gitt any sort of timber they have occation of on any part of my land, only for their one use.
Unto my son Edward Rowzee one shilling.
Unto my daughter Sarah Fenwick one shilling.
All the remainder of my estate both reall and personall to be equally divided amongst my loving wife Margatt Rowzee and my six chillred Benjamin, John, Margatt, Elezabeth, Mary and Martha Rowzee.
