      THIS INDENTURE made the two and Twentyeth day of February in the Fifth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Second and in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and thirty one Between MARK THOMAS of the County of WESTMORELAND Planter of one part and PITMAN SCANDRETT of the County of Essex Merchant of other part Witnesseth that for the sum of Eleven pounds Currant mony of Virga to the sd MARK THOMAS in hand paid by the sd PITMAN SCAN- MITT he the sd MARK THOMAS hath sold unto the sd PITMAN SCANDRETT his heirs and assigns one full undivided fourth part of all that piece of land containing Two hundred acres being in the Parish of Southfarnham in the County of Essex which said Fourth part of the sd Two hundred acres of land descended unto ANN the late Wife of the sd MARK THOMAS now deceased as one of the Daughters and Coheirs of WILLIAM AYRES late of the sd County of Essex deceased and all the houses Orchards woods and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging To Have and To Hold the sd fourth part of the sd Two hundred acres of land unto said PITMAN SCANDRETT during the time of the natural life of him the said MARK THOMAS paying unto the sd MARK THOMAS the yearly rent of one ear of Indian Corn upon the twenty fifth day of December in every year during the sd term if the same be lawfully demanded, In Witness whereof the sd Parties have set their hands and seals
