      THIS INDENTURE made this 16th day of March Anno Dom: one thousand seven hundred & eighty four Between ALEXANDER DEALE & CLEMENT DEALE, late of County of Culpeper of one part and WILLIAM ROBERTSON of said County of other part; Witnesseth that in consideration of the sum of One hundred pounds current money of Virginia by said WILLIAM ROBERTSON to ALEXANDER & CLEMENT DEALE in hand paid, by these presents doth bargain sell & confirm unto WILLIAM ROBERTSON his heirs one certain tract of land lying in County of Culpeper containing by estimation One hundred & fifty three acres, purchased by them of FRANCIS MOORE JUNR. & bounded, Begining at a Pine on the side of the PONEY MOUNTAIN corner to ALEXR. DAWNEY, thence North with his line twenty nine degrees East one hundred & fifty eight pole to a Hickory on the North side of RAPPADAN RIVER, another Corner to said DAWNEY, thence down the several courses of said River to a Locust, corner to that Lott formerly possessed by SPENCER T. This said Indenture memorandum & receipt were fuilly proved by the oath of REUBEN THORNTON, another witness thereto, & ordered to be recorded
