"There are records extant relating to the Lamberts who settled in eastern Maryland and who came from England, or the other colonies. the earliest of them was Thomas Lambert who owned land in Maryland in 1654."
"The next of the family in sequence of time to live in Maryland was Samuel Lambert whose home was in St. Mary's County.1 (((Footnote 1."1. Hall of Records, Annapolis, Liber 1, folio 159."))) In his will, probated December 21, 1661, he gave to his brother, John Lambert, half of his estate and the balance of it to John Williams. His will was dated October 14, 1661."

At the request of Robert Hanson, the following deed was recorded this Jun 23, 1724.
Jun 10, 1724 from Jno Lambeth of CC, planter,"to Robert Hanson of CC, gent, for 2000 lbs of tobacco & 5 barrels of Indian corn and for divers other causes, all that tract ofland called HABBERDEVENTURE, lying in CC near the head of Portobacco Cr, adjoining the land of John Robinson, now in the possession of the heirs of Francis Wine called SYMPSONS DELIGHT, bounded by a Deep branch, the land of Job Corner, a bounded tree of sd Robinson, containing and laid out for 150 acres, as by a particular patent thereof may appear, which patent was, on May 10, 1685, granted to Jno Barefoot. Signed - Jno Lambeth. Wit - Jno Briscoe*, Cha Somrsett Smith*. This deed was acknowledged by John Lambeth and Sarah, his wife.
