I, Samuel Edelin, of CC, am weak in health, but of sound mind, memory, and understanding.
To my three sisters Treasur Edelin, sally Edelin, and Alcey Edelin - the use and profits of the land my father bought of Thomas Smoot and Thomas Wheeler, during their single life.
To my brother Joseph and my three sisters - the rest of my estate, to be equally divided between them.

Charles County MD Will Book 1777-1780; Page 355. Alice Edelin's Guardian's Bond. May 29, 1779. We, Benjamin Jameson, William Queen, and Henry Joshua Jameson of CC, planters, give bond to Alice Edelin in the sum of 1500 £ dated this May 29, 1779. Sd Benjamin Jameson was, on last Dec 8, by Orphan Court, appointed guardian to sd Alice Edelin. If sd Benj shall pay and deliver to sd Alice, when she arrives at age 16 or day of marriage, all such money, tobacco, Negroes, and other articles which shall come to Lhe hands of sd Benj by virtue of the guardianship afd, as Alice's share of her father, Joseph Edelin's Estate, according to the final settlement thereof as per Orphan Court records, and in all things faithfully perform his duty as guardian, then this bond becomes void_ Signed - Benja Jameson, William Queen, Henry Joshua (x his mark) Jameson. Elizabeth Dent's will was dated December 21, 1814, and proved May 21, 1816, in Prince Georges County by William Marshall, Joseph Edelen, and Richard Gregory. She named her son George W. Dent, his wife Anne Dent, his minor children John W. S. Dent and Eleanor Matilda Dent, and two unnamed children by his second wife--also her son Lewis W. Dent, his wife Anne Dent; and the following grandchildren: George F. Dent, Elizabeth W. Dent, Thomas R. Dent, Mary Anne Dent, William W. Dent, and Patrick Dent. Other heirs were her sisters-Mary N.
Stonestreet, Sarah Pye, and Catherine A. Edelen "the wife of my brother Joseph". The residue of her estate was to be divided among the children of George W. Dent, except the two oldest, and the children of Lewis W. Dent, except the eldest daughter. Her nephew Joseph N. Stonestreet was named executor

Indenture made April 9, 1816; Elizabeth Brewer Laidler and Catherine Chapman Laidler of CC 2 of the daughters and coheirs of John Laidler late of CC deceased in consideration of $580 current money of the United States paid by John Jameson and Violetta Barnes Jameson his wife of the city of Norfolk, Virginia have sold tracts lying in William and Mary Parish called "New York", "Edelen's Adventure", "Good Luck" and "Maidens Point" containing in the whole 217 acres which said lands were purchased by John Laidler from Walter Jameson and Teresa Jameson his wife and Joseph Edelen and Alice Edelen his wife. To have and to hold the aforesaid tracts for the use and benefit of them for and during their joint lives and after their death to the heirs of Violetta Barnes Jameson. Signed Elizabeth B.
