1772-1774 Prince George's County, Maryland Land Records Liber BB 3 [Abstract by Mike Marshall]; Page 424. At the request of Thomas Boyd the following Deed was recorded March 28, 1774
Indenture made December 14, 1773; Thomas Belt son of Tobias, planter in consideration of 400 pounds 10 shillings sterling money paid by Thomas Boyd, planter has sold part of a tract called "Ample Grange" containing 33 ½ acres beginning on the 2nd line of the 150 acres laid out for the heirs of Charles Boyd on a division made March 20, 1762 by John Frederick Augustus Priggs agreeable to the testament and last will of John Boyd, deceased and bounded by the southeast corner of the 100 acres laid out upon said division for William Goe, Sr., out of the said tract; also another adjoining part of "Ample Grange"containing 100 acres. Signed Thomas Belt in the presence of and acknowledged before Alexander Symmer, David Craufurd and at the same time Elizabeth Lawson Belt wife of Thomas Belt relinquished her right of dower

Indenture made April 16, 1779; Thomas Belt son of Tobias, farmer of Frederick County, Maryland and Elizabeth Lawson Belt his wife in one of the daughters of Thomas Bowie late of PGCo, deceased in consideration of 10,000 pounds currency paid by Thomas Henry Hall, Gentleman of Anne Arundel County Maryland has sold one moiety or one half part of the following tracts devised by Thomas Bowie to his son Daniel Bowie in fee which on the death of him descended to the sisters of the said Daniel Bowie and the aforesaid Elizabeth Belt and Barbara Hall wife of the said Thomas Henry Hall, vizt; the resurvey on "Concord" and part of "Ryley's Lott" containing 439 acres; "Tyler's Discovery" containing 104 acres; and "Cattail Meadows" containing 6 acres, with all lands contiguous to each other. Signed Thomas Belt, Elizabeth Lawson Belt in the presence of and acknowledged before Thomas Boyd, Osborn Sprigg and at the same time Elizabeth Belt wife of Thomas Belt relinquished her right of dower

Indenture made January 8, 1790; Barbara Hall, widow of Washington County, Maryland for the express purpose of carrying into execution the will of Thomas Henry Hall her late husband in consideration of 5 pounds current money secured to be paid by Richard Wooten of Montgomery County, Maryland has sold the one moiety or half part of several tracts which descended in undivided moieties to Barbara Hall and Elizabeth Lawson Belt her sister as coparceners, to wit, beginning at a stone standing near the forks of a road that leads from Bladensburgh to Queen Ann and from Queen Ann to the Chaple and in line of "Brough" and bounded by "Enfield Chase", Collington Branch, "Concord", Mr. Young's land and Walter Bowie's line. Indenture made April 20, 1793; Thomas Belt, farmer of Washington County, Maryland in consideration of 5 shillings sterling paid by Mary Belt, widow of Tobias Belt of PGCo has sold part of a tract called "Chelsea" containing 185 acres 3 rods and 14 perches and beginning near John Lamar's plantation and bounded by Mr. Thomas Mullican's land. Signed Thomas Belt in the presence of and acknowledged before Alexander Clagett, Adam Ott, (JP's of Washington County, Maryland and certified by Elie Williams, clerk) and at the same time Elizabeth Lawson Belt w/o Thomas Belt relinquished her right of dower
