Clark Co. KY Deeds Vol 6-7 "George and Mary, his wife, of Fayette Co., sold land to John Epperson in 1808. This land was near the center of northwest line of Phoebe Muirs survey of 400 acres.

"Fayette Co., KY Complete Record Book G, Page 25 - Deposition of George MUIR [taken at the house of David Devore in Fayette County on 3 May 1820): Have been acquainted with the Lewis survey for many years, the S.W. corner about 16-17 tears and the S.E. corner about 20 years. George and Adam Winn settled on part of the Lewis survey in 1793. The school house was built on land of George and Adam Winn with the year 1783. It was used as a schoolhouse until Thomas Winn moved on the place and he used it as a kitchen and he held it until his death. I have lived near this place since the year of 1785.
