Thomas Brightwell's Final Account. Apr 9, 1779. The account of Verlinda Brightwell, administratrix of Thomas Brightwell, late of CC. deceased.
Debts include: the inventory of the deceased's estate, received in the Prerogative office on Feb 12, 1776, amounting to 547 £8 shillings 11 pence; a crop of tobacco left by the deceased, died Sep 11, 1774, stripped but not appraised, inspected in 1775. The whole amount: 763 £0 shillings 3-1/2 pence.
Disbursements went to: Benjamin Baden; James Wilson; George Adams; Contee & Megruder; Thomas Ambler; Catharine Bowers for rent; Henry Stevens; Commissary General fees paid Colonel Fitzhugh; Deputy Commissary's Fees paid Daniel Jenifer for letters; William Hanson, Register, for stating, passing, and recording this account; Elias Oden per bond dated Oct 20, 1774. Balance accountable: 627 £2 shillings 2% pence.
Final Account: 763 £0 shillings 3-1/2 pence.
