I, John U. Cooke of CC, being sick and weak of body, but of sound disposing mind and memory;
To daughter Margaret Emery Turner, the negro girl Emerline I gave her at the time of her marriage with Edward Turner.
To son Jesse Cartwright Cooke negro Mary Ann.
To daughter Mary Pedder Cooke, negro Celia, 1 good bed and furniture, 1 other inferior one, 1 cow and yearling, 1 dish and a ½ dozen plates, 1 side saddle.
To wife Drucilla Cooke, all the remaining part of my property consisting of negroes, household and kitchen furniture, my stock of every description, plantation utensils, corn and provisions.

To nephew William Stephen Gibbons, my plantation lying on Swanson Creek part of Calvertons Manor.
To Jane Spencer, 100 dollars to be paid out of the money her father Isaac Spencer owes me.
To neice Margaret McPherson, 200 dollars at 16 yrs.
To Elizabeth P. Bean, all the money that James Edward Turner owes after paying a judgment due Edward Pye.
To two brothers Joseph A. Turner and John L. Turner and one sister Margaret D. Gibbons, all the residue of my property.
