=== Research notes from Peter Grassl pogbowman@gmail.com
John Endler Marshall was the son of John William Marshall (1821 (Berryville/Clarke/VA) - 1901 (Romney/Hampshire/WV)). A handwritten note on a sheet of paper residing in the John Endler Bible was probably created in the early 20th Century. It lists a John L. Marshall (?-6 NOV 1847) and a Priscilla (Kesler???) (?-1 NOV 1844). That suggests a connection between John William Marshall and John Lucas? Marshall. The paper has a short note by John Leroy Marshall (7 JUN 1891-1961), son of John Endler Marshall and that supplies greater authenticity
