To wife Elizabeth Roby, 1/3 of personal estate.
To son Thomas Robey, land on the north side of branch called Thompsons Branch, being pt of two tracts called "Hinds Fancy." 60 A., and "Hinds Inspection," 120 A. and If he dies without heirs then to son Hines Roby.
To son John Taylor Roby, pt of tract an south aide of above Thompsons Branch which I now live upon, and If he dies without heirs then to son Peter Roby.
To son and daus Peter Roby, Hines Roby, Mary Roby, Anne Roby, and Liddia Roby, other 2/3 of my personal estate.

Apr 16, 1759 from John Tayler (Taylor) Roby of CC, planter, to Thomas Owen of CC, planter, for 950 lbs of tobacco, all that tract of land, being part of his Lordships Manor, bounded by a tract of land called Hines Inspection, Thompsons Branch, supposed to contain about 120 acres. Signed - John (g his mark) Tayler Roby. Wit - J Hepburn, John Hepburn Jr. Recorded Jun 30, 1759.

You John Taylor Robey, Benjamin Notley Mitchell and Henry Downing, do confess judgment to Joseph Noble for the sum of 22 shillings and 6 pence currency which sum was recovered this day to be levied on your goods chattles lands or tenements for the use of Joseph Noble in case John T. Robey shall not pay and satisfy the said sum and costs thereon on February 10th next. George Hardey, Jr.

Prince George's County, Maryland Land Records 1769-1772; Liber AA 2 {Abstract by Mike Marshall}; Page 86. At the request of Benjamin Notley Mitchell the following Mortgage was recorded March 28, 1770
Indenture made March 7, 1770; John Taylor Robey, planter in consideration of 281 pounds crop tobacco paid by Benjamin Notley Mitchell and also the said Mitchell being bound in a bond as my security to David Dalyett, George Oswald & Company for the sum of 8 pounds 14 shillings and 7 pence currency and the costs of suit in Prince George's County bearing interest from March 24th last hath sold by these presents, two cows, one yearling, 10 hogs, 1 feather bed and furniture, together with all the plantation utensils and household furniture; Provided nevertheless that if John Taylor Robey shall well and truly pay unto Benjamin Notley Mitchell the aforesaid sum and likewise pay and satisfy David Dalyett, George Oswald & Company their claim on the bond on or before March 1st next then this instrument of writing to be null and void signed John Taylor Robey in the presence of George Hardey, Jr., Thomas Blacklock and acknowledged before George Hardey, Jr.
