Mary Risen,, tract whereon she now lives, 18 acres and called the "Land of Ease"; also 34 acres adjoining being part of tract called 'Hudsons Disappointment" being all that which lies on that side of the branch called the 'Long Pen" next to her; also Negro woman Beck. And that day she the said Mary Risen shall offer to sell the said land it shall become the inheritance of my dau. Violetta,
      To dau. Violetta McPherson all the rest of my land being tract of 50 acres called Molley's Chance' and remainder part of Hudson's Disappointment," being 53 acres whereon my house and plantation is.

      To my son Samuel Hanson McPherson - my Negro woman called Luce,
      To my son Henry McPherson - my Negro man called Charles.
      To my son Josias Hanson McPherson - my Negro boy called Romio and 1000 lbs of tobacco.
      To my daughter Ann McPherson - my Negro woman called Nanny, and 1 black mare.
      To my son Alexander McPherson - my Negro girl called Hannah & my Negro girl called Rose and my Negro girl called Cinthia.
      To my grandson Henry Thomas McPherson - the 1st child my Negro woman Luce shall have.

      The rest of my estate is to be equally divided among all my children before named.

      Indenture made August 16, 1792; Dorothy Marlow in consideration of 10 shillings current money paid by Josias Hanson McPherson as well on behalf of Samuel Hanson Marlow creditor of her has assigned unto Josias Hanson McPherson [in trust] Negroes Lin (35 years), Quomino (30 years), Jenny (8 years), Cassey (7 years), Harriet (6 years) and Sampson (3 years) for the purposes following; in the first place to pay Josias Hanson McPherson all costs and expenses which he may incur in the execution of this trust, secondly to pay Samuel Hanson Marlow the sum of 188 pounds 18 shillings and 4 pence, thirdly to return pay all such property that may remain and do hereby appoint Josias Hanson McPherson her attorney.
