THIS INDENTURE made this nineteenth day of July in year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred & Eighty four Between MICHAEL SWINDEL & ELIZABETH his Wife of County of Culpeper of one part & LEWIS CRIGLER of foresaid County of other part Witnesseth that for sum of Eighty pounds current money of Virginia to them in hand paid hath bargained & sold unto LEWIS CRIGLER his heirs a certain tract of land containing One hundred & fifty acres be the same more or less lying on the ROBINSON RIVER in the foresaid County and bounded Begining at two white Oaks by a large Rock on ROBINSON RIVER and on the South side of said RIVER, thence South sixty five degrees West One hundred & thirty two poles to the Corner (the tree dead) thence North fifty five degrees West sixty six poles to three Box Oaks, Corner to ANDREW CARPENTER, thence with a line of MICHAEL CARPENTERs North twenty five degrees East One hundred & six poles to a white & red Oak the same Course continued Eighty six poles farther to said RIVER at the Mouth of WHITE OAK RUN, thence down the said RIVER to the Begining, Together with all houses Orchards and all other appurtenances belonging To have and to hold the aforesaid Land from all Incumbrances and to be the only use of him the said LEWIS CRIGLER his heirs As Witness our hands & Seals the day & year above written

At a Court held for Culpeper County the 16th day of August 1784
This Indenture was acknowledged by the parties & ordered to be recorded, the said ELIZABETH being first privily Examined as the Law directs
