THIS INDENTURE made the nineteenth/twentieth day of February 1727 BetweenJOHN BUCKNER of Parish of St Marys in County of Essex of one part & JOHN HOLLOWAY of same Witnesseth that the said John Buckner by Indenture date the day before the date hereof for the consideration mentioned (five shillings) did grant unto said John Holloway 310 & 1/2 acres of land in Parish of St. Marys in County aforesaid & bounded Begining at a corner Gum and Maple of NICHOLAS WARE's by a line of marked trees (this divides his land from the said Wares) North to a corner white oak standing in FRANCIS HAY's line thence along the sd Hays line North to a small hickory sapling in a Vally, thence South East to a white oak corner trees standing in a branch, thence down the rune of the branch the several courses in a straight line South to two corner white oaks standing at the mouth of the sd branch on the North West side of a Swamp call'd the Golden Vale, thence up the run of the sd Swamp to a corner poplar standing at the mouth of Persimmon Branch it being also a corner to Nicholas Ware's land, thence up the run of Persimmon Branch to the beginning place NOW THIS INDENTURE WITNESSETH that John Buckner for and in consideration of the sum Fourty seven pounds seven shillings and four pence current unary of Virginia and one thousand and thirty pounds of Tobacco by him ye sd John Holloway to him the said John Buckner paid sd John Buckner doth hereby grant all the aforesaid land containing 310 1/2 acres

This Lease and Release of land indented admitted to record.
Also the same day Came into Court SARAH BUCKNER the wife of said John Buckner and freely relinquished her dower in the land conveyed by her said Husband to John Holloway which is admitted to record
Essex County SS. KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that I JOHN BUCKNER of Parish of St Mary in County aforesaid am bound unto John Holloway of County & Parish aforesaid in sum of Eighty pounds Sterling this seventeenth day of Novr. 1727.
THE CONDITION of the above obligation is such that if the above bounden John Buckner do duly acknowledge in due form of Law, by good deeds of Lease & Release, one parcel of woodland ground, containing 200 acres lying on the Golden Vale Runn, on the North side of Persimmon Branch in the County and Parish aforesaid and do further cause Sarah now wife to sd Buckner to relinquish her right of dower unto said land, then the above obligation to be void or else to remain in force.

THIS INDENTURE made the nineteenth/twentieth day of February 1727 Between JOHN BUCKNER of Parish of St. Marys in County of Essex of one part & NICHOLAS WARE of same Parish & County Witnesseth that said John Buckner by Indenture date the day before ye date did grant unto Nicholas Ware 310 acres & a half of land in Parish of St. Marys and ye County of Essex bounded Begining at two white oaks & a red oak standing on the North side of a Swamp that is known by name of ye Golden Vale and a little below the said WARES BRIDGE, and runing thence along an old line of marked trees North to a corner red oak standing in Mrs. HAYS line, thence along the sd Hays line North thence South West along a line of marked trees that divides this land from JOHN HALLAWAYs to a corner gum & maple standing in possimmon branch near the fork of the sd Branch thence down the run of ye sd Pessimon branch & courses thereof to a corner poplar on the North West side of a Swamp called the Golden Vaile, thence up ye run of the aforesaid Swamp the several courses thereof to the begining place to hold the term of six months to the end that by Virtue of Statute for Transferring Nicholas Ware might be in actual possession of a grant & release of the same NOW THIS INDENTURE WITNESSETH that John Buckner for sum Fourty seven pounds seven shillings & four pence current mony & one thousand & thirty one pounds of Tobacco by said Nicholas Ware paid doth hereby release unto said Nicholas Ware 310 & a half acres
bounded as aforesaid to hold unto said Nicholas Ware . . .

This Indented Lease & Release is admitted to record.
Also the same day came into Court SARAH the Wife of the sd John Buckner & freely re lin quished her dower in the land conveyed by the sd Release to Nicholas Ware which on his motion is admitted to record

THIS INDENTURE made the nineteenth /twentieth day of February in ye year 1727 Between FRANCIS HAY of Parish of St. Marys in County of Essex of one part & NICH. WARE of same Parish & County Witnesseth that Whereas Francis Hay by Indenture bearing date the day before the date hereof, for ye consideration mentioned (five shillings) did grant unto ye sd Nicholas Ware 160 acres of land in ye Parish of St Marys in County of Essex & bounded Begining at a Stake standing between two hickories & a white oak by the Mattapony ROLLING ROAD in HARRISONs line & runing along Harrisons line South to a stake between two hickories two red oaks by Mr Wares MILL PATH thence West to two red oaks on a ridge thence North to a red oak by ye aforesd rolling Road thence along the said Road to ye beginning to hold during the term of six months from thence to the end by virtue of the Statute of transferring Nicholas Ware might be in possession NOW THIS INDENTURE WITNESSETH that Francis Hay for consideration of thirty two pounds current mony by him the said Nicholas Ware in handpaid said Francis Hay doth grant all yc aforesd tract of land containing
160 acres
