      Indenture made March 23, 1761; Clement Maudesly, planter in consideration of the sums of 29 pound 5 shillings sterling and 5 pound 19 shillings currency paid by Henry Brookes has sold a tract where said Clement Maudesly's father did lately dwell called "Green Spring" containing 58-1/2 acres and lying about 2 miles from Upper Marlbrough Town and near the main road that leads from said town to Mr. Ignatius Digges and beginning at the third boundary of "Beall's Chance" and the beginning of "Backland". Signed Clement Maudesly in the presence of John Hepburn, Samuel Hepburn and acknowledged before John Hepburn
