      Whereas EVAN JONES was arrested to this Court by a note left at the Suit of PATRICK MICKLEROY [Muckleroy], having married ELIZABETH the Administratrix of RICHARD YOWELL [Youell] deceased for the sum of eight hundred pounds of tobacco and cask, and the said JONES not appearing, an attachment is awarded the said MICKLEROY (qualified as abovesaid) against the Estate of the said EVAN JONES for the said sum with costs of Suit returnable to the next Court.

      Daniel Ockanney caused Patrick Muckleroy and Elizabeth his wife late widdow and administratrix of Richd. Youel to bee summoned to chew cause why execution should not issue for 1500 pounds of tobacco.
      Daniel Ockanney caused Patrick Muckleroy and Eliza. his wife to be summoned and declared that at a Court 31 Oct. 1688 he obtained against Elizabeth then Elizabeth Youel, relict and administratrix of Richd. Youel, for 1350 pounds of tobacco due by bill.. Patrick Muckleroy had since intermarried with Elizabeth and both deny and refuse to pay the same. The defenidant by Gerrard Lowther their attorney plead they have fully administered. The Court doe therefore dismiss the suit. The plairtiff by Robt. Brent his attorney appealed to the net General Court.

      The difference long tine depending in this Court between William Moxley and Patrick Muckleroy concerning a certain parcell of land lyeing in the forrest of Nominy in this county, being part of a divident of land containing 1050 acres granted by pattent to John Wheston, Tho. Dyoss and Patrick Spence and. by Dyoss sold to Jno, Quigley and by Quigley to the plaintiff, being put to a survey in the presence of an able, jury of the neighbourhood., the Jury returned their verdict that the land included by the north east line is the land belonging to Moxley's pattent and that Muckleroy is a trespasser on the land, Present: Mr. Robert Carter.

      Patrick Muckleroy of this county setting forth by his petition that hee had land of his own on one side of Pope's Creek and that hee had gott and fitted a frame for a water mill and fitted himself with a pair of stones and other materials in order to the erecting a water mill thereon, prayed liberty to erect and build a mill on the said creek and to make and join his dam to the land opposite to his own land. The Court order he have liberty to erect and build the mill and mill dam.

      Ordered that Mr. Alexander Spence, Surveyor of this County, do on Wednesday next survey and lay out for Patrick Muckleroy one acre of land now in the possession of Mrs. Elizabeth Lord where he intends to adjoin his mill damn to the said land. Mr. Thomas Mountjoy, Mr. John Washington, Mr. Original Browne and Mr. Thomas Bridges, being first sworn before Mr. William Bridges, value the said acre.
      7 Oct. 1691. In obedience to the above order we do value the said acre laid out by Mr. Alexander Spence to be worth 200 pounds of tobacco.

      Patrick Muckleroy of this county who married the relict &c of Humphrey Pope late of this county and by meanes thereof became possessed with Popes estate having for some considerations made over to Daniel Feild, and Tobias Butler both of this county all or most part of his estate, which Feild and Butler have sithence sold (or so much as they have thought fitt thereof) at an outcry Wm Paine of this county, merchant, who married one of the daughters and orphants of Hump: Pope on behalf of himself and as guardian to the rest of the orphants of Hump: Pope moved to this Court that the case of the orphants might be taken into their consideration and an expedient found for securing the payment of the same to the several' orphants at their respective age. Whereupon Feild and Butler on behalf of Muckleroy offered to this Court a list of the several' judgments confessed to them at the outcry and other debts due to them and prayed the Court would make choyce of soe many as would amount to the full value of the orphants parts of their fathergs estate and acouitt Patrick Muckleroy from the same.
      It being thought most reasonable that the estate should be comitted to Wm. Paine in respect of his relation thereto, Paine doth accept the same and haveing had perusal of the judgments and debts made choyce of 70 pounds of tobacco which Feild and Butler assigned to Paine.
      Francis Wright and Simon Robins both of this county, Gent., assume with Wm. Paine for the true payment of the respective portions of the orphans as they severally attaine to their respective ages.

Partrick Muckleroy of Pope's Creek in Westmoreland County to William Fitzhugh. Mortgage of 250 acres upon Pope's Creek which I formerly purchased of Partrick Spence. I am indebted to William Fitzhugh of Stafford County £25 sterling and the profits thereof which comes to £4 sterling, which in all is £39 [sic] sterling and about 14 or 1500 pounds of tobacco by bill and account. I am now about selling all my estate both real and personal.

      Last day of February 1692 [1693]. By virtue of an order of this County Court, order was granted unto Partrick Muckleroy for one acre of land according to Act of Assembly for erecting a mill out of the land of Capt. John Lord deceased, lying at the head of Pope's Creek. The acre was laid out and appraised, which said acre not answering the occasion and convenience of Muckleroy, now we Patrick Muckleroy and Elizabeth Lord, relict and executrix of Capt. John Lord, doe mutually consent and agree that Muckleroy doth relinquish the estermost moyte or half of the acre of land forever as alsoe to pay unto Elizabeth 500 pounds of tobacco. Elizabeth make over and exchange one half acre on the west end of the aforesaid one acre, taking in and allowing the present damn for part of the last mentioned half acre.
      Elizabeth Lord Both grant liberty unto Muckleroy to make use of any earth on an island lying by the said mill damn, as also of any wood or underwood for fuell on the said island,

      Last day of March 1697. Edward Lambey of Westmoreland County hath made purchase of the within mentioned mill from Muckleroy at an outcry made by the said Muckleroy of his whole estate. Agreed by Elizabeth Taylor that Edward Lambey shall enjoy the full liberty and upon nonperformance to pay and forfeit the sum abovesaid. Edward Lamby oblige myself to pay yearly at every Xmas five bushels of shelled Indian corn at the mill abovesaid to Elizabeth Taylor. Neither myself nor assigns shall have in possession at one time more than twenty head of hoggs young and old nor trespass upon the land
      and also to allow of being hopper free for her own family during my life.

McCartee guardian to Mary Pope daughter and orphant of Humphrey Pope to shew cause why execution should not issue, against him for 486 pounds' of tobacco due from him by judgment confessed to Tobias Butler and Danl Feild at the outcry of the estate of Patrick Muckleroy 19 February 1695, being disposed for payment of the orphanfs of Humphraey Pope, the estates, left them by their father and assigned for that use, and faileing to appeare and say any thing in barr thereof, judgment is revived.

      Richard Youell married Ann, surname unknown, they both being deceased in 1695. They were the parents of:

      1. Samuel, married Judith (???) and settled in New Kent County. Owing to the destruction of the records of this County, the only available record is found in the parish register of St. Peter's Parish, which chronicles the baptisms of four daughters from 1687 to 1702: Sarah Yowell (died young); Sarah, Ruth, and Elizabeth Yeoell.
      2. Harman, of whom further.
      3. Elizabeth, married John Atwell, who died in 1713, leaving, besides his wife, three sons, Thomas, Youell and Samuel, all under twenty-one, and daughters Hannah, Lydia and Francis.
      4. Mathew, sheriff of Northumberland County in 1739.
      5. Christopher.
      6. Ann, a minor at the time of the death of her parents. She was taken into the home of Patrick Muckleroy and, on May 3, 1695, upon the petition of Penelope (Youell) Spence, "Anne Youel, an orphant daughter of Richard and Anne Youel, dec., & goddaughter and near relation to the said Penelope, is by this Court Comitted to the said Penelope, she having assumed in Court to provide decently for her and to bring her up in housewifery & teach her to read."

Elizabeth dau. of same, 2 cows, 1 feather bed, a Bible and a ring; residue of estate and 15 shillings to Dinah Youel, she and her husband Harman exrs.
