      Will of Wm. Gordon, dated 14 Nov. 1720.
      To my son Braen Gordon all my land in Accomack and my six Negroes there and white servant.
      To my son William all my tract of land above Thacker's Mill and six Negroes.
      To my son James all my lotts of land in Urbanna and five Negroes and the furniture of the houses as now
      stands.
      My executors may take up a front lot and two broken back lotts and save them for the use of my son James. I also bequeath him £400.
      To each of my two daughters five Negroes and £300.
      To be divided between my two daughters my gold chain and rings. If either dye before they come of age or
      marry to her sister.
      My three old Negroes George, Kate, Loudan be kept for common use, the last two for the good of my house in Urbanna and George for the good of all my plantation.
      Bridget Waltham shall be kept as house keeper with my children till they come of age and Eliza Ward to live with my children as long as she pleases to stay and my wives apperral may be equally shered between them. I also give them £20 apece and that they have their usal wages.

      William Stanard aged 36 or thereabouts deposeth that on 14 Nov. 1720 William Gordon of Urbanna desired Mr. Harry Beverley to write down the short heads of his will with the design to write the same will at large
      for the said William Gordon to sign but before that could be done the said Gordon dyed. The several bequests to his sons were made to them when they should come of age of one and twenty.

      May 9, 1726 from George Thorold, late of St Mary's County, now of Portobo [Cr] in CC, Gent, to Peter Attwood, late of St Inagoes in St Mary's County, Gent, for 5 shillings sterling and for divers other good causes, all the lands, tenements, and hereditaments bequeathed by Wm Hunter, late of CC, deceased, to the afd George Thorald, by sd Wm's will in about 1723.
